By purchasing, downloading, or using Split My Scan ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Software.

License Grant

Upon purchase, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Split My Scan for personal or commercial purposes, subject to these terms. Your license is valid for the duration specified at purchase (typically 1 month).

License Key and Activation

Your license key is tied to your email address and is valid for the duration specified at purchase. License keys are non-transferable and intended for use by the original purchaser only.

Payment and Refunds

All sales are processed through Stripe. Payment is required before license key delivery. We offer refunds under the following circumstances:

To request a refund, contact support@splitmyscan.com with your purchase details. Refunds are processed at our discretion and may take 5-10 business days.

Intellectual Property

Split My Scan and all associated trademarks, copyrights, and intellectual property rights remain the exclusive property of the Software's owners. This license does not grant you any ownership rights.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements. You use the Software at your own risk.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the Software works as described, but we cannot guarantee compatibility with all scanners or all image formats.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of the Software.

Our total liability for any claims related to the Software shall not exceed the amount you paid for the license.

System Requirements

Split My Scan requires Windows 10 or later and a compatible scanner with WIA (Windows Image Acquisition) support. It is your responsibility to ensure your system meets these requirements. We are not responsible for incompatibility issues that prevent installation or use.

Updates and Modifications

We may release updates, bug fixes, or new versions of the Software. We are not obligated to provide updates, and your license does not automatically entitle you to future versions. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Software at any time.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your license if you violate these Terms of Service. Upon termination, you must stop using the Software and delete all copies. Violations may result in license key revocation without refund.

The Software may rely on third-party services (e.g., Windows WIA, Stripe for payments). We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, or terms of these third-party services.

Export Restrictions

You agree not to export or re-export the Software in violation of any applicable export laws or regulations of the United States or other countries.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Software's owner operates. Any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
